Meet Sydney
Sydney is a counselling intern pursuing her Masters of Counselling at the City University of Seattle. Her professional journey has been deeply enriched by supporting children and youth through life transitions, anxiety, grief, loss, identity development, regulation, and trauma. Sydney is passionate about working with children and youth ages 14-25 and adults from diverse backgrounds.
Sydney's approach to counselling is deeply relational, person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in empathy. She integrates somatic therapy to honour the mind-body connection, recognizing its role in the healing process. Sydney holds a profound belief in the innate human capacity for change, healing and growth, fostering a safe therapeutic space where clients can reconnect with their authentic selves and embark on a journey of personal exploration. She embodies a commitment to compassionate counselling, empowering clients to navigate their challenges and embrace their journey with resilience and authenticity.
Dedicated to honouring each client's uniqueness, Sydney tailors her approach accordingly, providing a personalized therapeutic experience. She feels privileged to accompany clients on their path toward healing and personal growth.
Outside the counselling office, Sydney finds solace in nature and enjoys running, hiking, reading, and connecting with loved ones.
Sydney is available for low-cost therapy on Thursdays from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
