Meet Karen
Karen (she/her) is a master's-level intern therapist in the final year of her studies. She provides a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen and valued, considering it a privilege to guide them on their healing journeys. Her practice is queer-affirming and inclusive of individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations. Karen is particularly passionate about supporting reconciliation for Canada’s Indigenous Peoples and other people of color. She employs a deeply trauma-informed approach, helping clients regain a sense of safety, choice, and predictability. Karen feels honored by the trust her clients place in her as they explore their inner worlds together.
Karen works with teens, adults, and older adults, as well as couples and families.
Her areas of interest include challenging and overwhelming emotions, self-compassion and self-esteem, shame, attachment and complex trauma, and gender and sexuality.
